World Awakened has New Partners!

Zen_Door_361004_smallSometimes, we have visions of how things we will create or be involved with but have no idea of how that will become a reality.   My vision for World Awakened has been HUGE, in fact it has been so huge that it is quite intimidating and I have had no idea of how I would possibly accomplish it all.  I have thought that unless I connected with people who had the exact same passion as me and were willing to become involved for their own purposes, World Awakened would never become the vehicle I have envisioned it would become.

I always thought that World Awakened would be a hub and then I would create the satellites from the hub.  What I am beginning to see, and what I have always felt is that I am the vision keeper for the World Awakened project and it is my job to find the components that feel in alignment with the project.  I have been finding that there are people out there who are already working in their own way to work on each component and my job is to become a bridge or a hub to connect them all together.

This past week, I had a very interesting experience.  Someone invited me to a social networking site called, JasonsNetwork.com.  After I logged in, I felt like World Awakened had found its social networking home.  I have always felt that the World Awakened Project is FAR too big for me to do alone and have been looking for people to help me with it but I have been approaching it in the wrong way.  It is not my job to start from scratch, it is my job to connect the components that are already in place and for the components that are not in place, I can either create them because that is my passion or I can be patient and allow those components to show up.

I am also joining Laurie Huston of Intuitive Soul for the Radio aspect of the World Awakened project.  At first, I thought Laurie would be coming to World Awakened but that was backwards.  World Awakened needed to make its home on Intuitive Soul.  Laurie already has all the equipment and doing radio work and connecting with people is her passion.  We talked about doing Intuitive Soul on World Awakened but really, World Awakened will have its presence and be promoting Intuitive Soul.

The same thing is going to happen with the Social Networking aspect.  It is not for World Awakened to start a social network, World Awakened is meant to find the right Social Network to add as a collaborative partner.  Please check out our new partners.  Eventually, there will be more cohesion.  This is just the beginning.

A Fleeting Note on Eternity

This life’s movement for me is the work of erasing myself  to experience what I am. In a visit with a good student of Buddhism, we came across this:

”life is not a riddle to be solved,

but a reality to be lived”

So, too, for me, eroding the ego helps one to experience the truth of what they are, some call it Spirit-soul. The truth of our existence that life is a reality to be lived and a dream we are having, both true.

Karma, measure for measure, or to do unto others as you would have done unto you are all an affirmations of the truth that God is one, and how we treat others is, in a direct and practical way, how we treat ourself. We receive what we give. Dalai Lama says:

“what you want for yourself, provide for another.”

Everything is one, and this is the truth of our existence. Karma is not another law, but a practical expression of the unity of existence. Everything is one, and that one thing is love. It’s essence may be concealed from our eyes and ears, but if we train ourselves through meditation to see clearly, we see that all is an expression of One great love that is not separate from us, that never end, only changes and forever is…

The Prophet – On Love

On Love

Then said Almitra, “Speak to us of Love.”

And he raised his head and looked upon the people, and there fell a stillness upon them. And with a great voice he said:

When love beckons to you follow him,

Though his ways are hard and steep.

And when his wings enfold you yield to him,

Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.

And when he speaks to you believe in him,

Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.

For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.

Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,

So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.

Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.

He threshes you to make you naked.

He sifts you to free you from your husks.

He grinds you to whiteness.

He kneads you until you are pliant;

Love has no other desire but to fulfil itself.

To know the pain of too much tenderness.

To be wounded by your own understanding of love;

And to bleed willingly and joyfully.

To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;

To rest at the noon hour and meditate love’s ecstasy;

And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips.

tree
fall

spirals

Between toes curls greens and yellows grass
and the sound of clouds moving in the water.
Sixteen in one and one in sixteen,
What are names but labels
and through us wind forms of things:
air, tree, leaf, sky, water.

Winter ground,
Summer ground,
Spring ground,
and Autumn ground
Are just faces of the Earth
circling the Sun

After formal training in design basics, printmaking, and painting, I began to combine learned and intuitive techniques to explore surface and color, producing both two- and three-dimensional work.

Since childhood, I have had a lensing system that has permitted my access to a certain kind of knowledge. At about five years of age I became a voluntary mute. This was in large part because when I started school I like all the others were expected to gain all kinds of skills that had to do with socialization, and memorization. I felt increasingly conflicted with what was coming at me from the outside world in sharp contrast to all the feelings and perceptions I was gaining from listening to my own inside world- Thus the lensing system was born. I simply shut out what I felt took away from my ability to gain “internal knowledge”. What became my filtering process has stayed with me through all of my experiences in life. It is the source of my art and my life.

Art became a very significant idea and activity for me from about age three and continues into the present. I have allowed my perceptions to become refined, and with this and my internal creative drive I have developed a natural process of what determines my images, use of technique, choice of colors, and overall designs in my work. This process is what I choose to call knowledge gaining. The visual impact of my work can be experienced on many levels, depending on one’s individual readiness for receiving progressive levels of deeper and deeper internal feeling. The esthetic ideal of my work is to nurture and ready the soul to wake up to a much larger reality. The functional ideal of my work is to house in a two dimensional format the designs necessary for one to access a new perspective from which to view larger and larger bodies of ideas and consciousness itself.

Bio: Mary resides in Tipton, Iowa and has a B.F.A. from the University of Northern Iowa. She was part of the “Iowa Artists” show at the Des Moines Art Center in 1991 and has been in group shows in Kansas City, Boston, and New York as well as at the Davenport Art Museum and Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. Mary has had solo shows at Quad Cities Arts, Iowa City-Johnson County Arts Association, and Maharishi International University in Fairfield. In coming to understand the universal aspects of Joel’s experience, he realized that it is in overcoming our personal story that frees us to live in the here and now, the true gift of life.

Forgiveness and awareness of the present are the powerful tools that create a life lived fully. When we utilize forgiveness and to become aware, we become listeners and may begin to hear the deeper aspect of our inherent intuitive wisdom spring forth to guide us moment to moment.
