A long time dream of mine has been to create a vehicle where people who have claimed ourselves and have awakened to our true power have a place where we can connect, form collaborative partnerships, share our stories, promote our transformational work grow and share with those who wish to connect in a space of expanded awareness.
This dream has been with me for a while and even though the seeds of World Awakened were planted about four years ago and have been watered and kept warm, the time has not been right for it to blossom… Until Now. It feels like this incubation period has allowed for it to grow strong roots and I feel it is finally getting ready to flourish.
Although the seed for World Awakened was planted by me, Kerri Kannan, it has always felt much bigger than me and I have been hoping and praying for the right partner to come along and help this dream become a reality because it has always felt like too much for one person to do alone. Just when I started feeling the energy to really get moving with this project again, my long time friend and webmaster, Bryan Miller told me he no longer wanted to do web design. I was dreading the prospect of having to find someone else who understood what I wanted to do like he did and while I was putting out feelers for someone else to help me with all the things I want to do, a miraculous thing happened. Much to my delight and surprise, Bryan told me that although he was transitioning away from web design and development, he wanted to partner with me and help me fulfill my dream because it was his dream too.
Connection and partnerships for a higher purpose is what World Awakened is all about. It is about giving people a way to connect with others of like mind, who operate from a paradigm of cooperation and not competition to form collaborative partnerships and ultimately, create our own heaven on earth. World Awakened is also a place where people will go to connect with our partners, members, friends and teachers. It is a place where we will take personal responsibility for our choices and lives and where we support each other in fulfilling our dreams. It is a place where spiritual growth is nourished and we help each other to see our blocks to greater awareness and expansion.
Partners and members of the World Awakened community will sought out by those who are looking for balance in the midst of chaos. We are balance and will help those who seek balance to find it within so together we will help each other rise above any storm. For many of us, World Awakened is the answer to a prayer, the fulfillment of a dream. We will build it together as a collective and as we grow and realize our wildest dreams, those who connect with us will grow and realize their dreams through our example. World Awakened is a tool for everyone to use in whatever capacity they feel is right for them. Some people like myself and Bryan will be the foundation builders, visionaries and developers. As World Awakened expands and people present themselves, we may ask others to join us in the development process. Some people will be part of the Awakened community, these people will share their work and help others to rise above chaos and adversity by living their truth and being active members of the partnership community. Others will seek out our partners and explore World Awakened because of the high level of consciousness World Awakened represents. They will be drawn to the forums, the blogs, the radio programs, videos and members of our community because they feel alive and free and our community will liberate them to be completely true to themselves and free of limitation. There will be opportunities on all levels for participation in the community for anyone who wishes to be part of this global transformation project. As we share our greatest selves, we will inspire others to be their greatest selves… this is the core vision behind World Awakened.
Right now, World Awakened is just emerging as a sapling and I would like to invite you to be part of its nurturance and growth. We have created a collaborative blog and are creating a collaborative radio podcast program. The first podcast is Sunday November 9, 2008 and will air every Sunday at 9:00pm. All shows will be archived for later listening so if you miss it, you can always catch it later. This site will be expanding exponentially in the coming months, and will include all of the above mentioned components and perhaps even more but right now, we are starting with the blog and radio program. We are now seeking submissions for guests and people who wish to share their story with the world at large. Although we do and will have authors, World Awakened is about EVERYBODY, we are All Awakening right now. We want You to become an integral part of our community and share yourself, your wisdom, your brilliance and your truth with the World. We are offering you a platform, you just need to step forward and say YES!
We are seeking submissions and invite you to submit your information, using the guidelines below. Once we receive your submission, we will review it and contact you about regarding its publication. All radio guests will be requested to submit an article so World Awakened visitors can get to know a little bit about you before your show. We may also ask certain people if they are willing to be a guest based on their articles. Please do not submit blatant advertisements, we will not post them. Submissions should be informational and should be based on your personal experience or your work. If people like what they see, they will connect with you. Below is the submission criteria:
- All content should be focused on some form of personal or spiritual growth, insight or practical technique you have found works for you. Posts need not be airy fairy… in fact, it is preferred that content is based on real emotions and spiritual insight over new age fluff.
- We accept articles, portry, short stories and links to audio and video (in the future we will also accept audio and video for embedding, but not now)
- All articles should be less than 500 words.
- Short bio of less than 75 words.
- Please do not submit blatant advertisements, if the information you give is good, people will go to your site.
- A link to your site so our readers can contact you.
- Please include a JPG image of yourself and an image that relates to your content (if you have an image) no greater than 300 pixels square.
- You may submit up to once a month on a rolling basis; there are no deadlines.
- Send submissions to “worldawakened at gmail dot com” and place the word, “Submission” in the subject line.
- We request that in reciprocation, you post links, articles or mentions in newsletters directing people to http://www.worldawakened.com so as we promote you, you promote the collective. This is how we will succeed together.
